Nobody likes to get up earlier than they have to. The idea of starting the alarm clock earlier than you are used to is probably enough to make you stop reading this, already. However, just think, you could get your exercising out of the way before you would even be out of bed normally, and then you cant make excuses about it for the rest of the day.
Climbing out of bed early is a great way to make sure you get your exercising don in the day. There is a reason most people jog in the morning. If you manage to drag yourself out of bed in the morning in order to do something, you are more likely to do it. I know that if something is actually important enough for me to sacrifice sleep for, I am going to get it done!
In the morning you can work out outside without the fear of oppressive heat, and therefore you can jumpstart that running program you were thinking about testing out. Or, if you are a parent, you can take advantage of the kids still sleeping to do an exercise routine that would normally be interrupted by other people. You could use this time for some yoga and meditation. Actually, that sounds wonderful to me, almost better than sleep!
Most of us are creatures of habit in the morning. Even if we operate sans habit for the rest of the day, our mornings usually run about the same everyday. It wont be a walk in the park to change that up, but once it is ingrained in your morning routine, chances are, you arent going to give it up. It will become as essential to you waking up properly as having a nice cup of coffee is.
So, tonight when you go to bed, set your alarm to go off a little earlier. Convince yourself that you will benefit by changing your exercising routine to the morning hours. Wake up with the sun, and give that early bird a run for his money.
