It was obvious to most people a long time ago that every persons individual health needs were different. The idea that a toddler should eat the same number of servings as an adult is preposterous. It took the United States government a while to catch on. They did however introduce a new Food Pyramid to help people eat healthy in 2005. Not many adults have familiarized themselves with this new Pyramid, instead they are clinging to the old one that separates foods into their little unequal boxes.
The new Pyramid into six rainbow stripes, and has a little picture of a person walking up the stairs along the side. Each stripe is of varying thickness, and the thickness determines how much of that food you should eat. The person on the side is to tell you to take it one step at a time. It also means that exercising is a part of a healthy lifestyle. There are different Pyramids for children, women, pregnant women, and men.
